The new X7 differs visually from the X5 only by the badge on the back of the machine - the real differences are where you can't see them. The old lead-acid battery is replaced by a state of the art Lithium version which removes 17Lbs in weight while giving you more power and a much longer overall life. Both the X7 and Lithium battery have a 2 year warranty. The new Lithium Phosphate 20Ah battery has been developed as a true 12V battery, which means that it can be used in any X Series (X1, X3 or X5). There are no electronics changes or adjustments necessary; you can just start using the new battery as a direct replacement. The battery is protected by a sophisticated battery management system that constantly monitors every cell to ensure the battery is always optimized for best performance and life. It is supplied with complete with battery lead and protective neoprene case. It is also supplied with a specially developed battery charger which will help keep the battery in top condition.

The F1 Lithium is the result of a ground breaking project where Stewarts design team were asked simply to make the award winning X5R even better.  The team was given carte blanche to achieve this task, and the results are stunning.  The F1 Lithium is not simply an updated version of the X5R. With the exception of a handful of minor components, every piece of the F1 is new.  When folded, the F1 occupies just one third the floor space of the X5R and 40% less overall volume. 

Despite the obvious associations one may draw to motor sports, the F1 name came about during the products development.  At any one time, Stewart Golf has a number of concepts for future products on the drawing board.  Due to its folding chassis, this concept was known as ‘the folding one’ which was quickly abbreviated to ‘F1’ which is where it stuck.
